Adam Scott reportedly will star in Severance, a drama being directed and produced by Ben Stiller. The new Apple TV+ streaming service bought the rights to all ten episodes.

A description of the show leaked to The Hollywood Reporter says “Severance is a workplace thriller that is set at Lumen Industries, a company looking to take work-life balance to a new level. Scott will star as Mark, an employee with a dark past trying to put himself back together.”

The show was dreamed up by Dan Erickson, who will write scripts for every episode.

Adam Scott has had reoccurring roles on The Good Place and Big Little Lies. Ben Stiller starred in hits like Zoolander and There’s Something About Mary before moving into the producer’s and director’s chair. The two worked together when Stiller directed 2013’s The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

There’s no word on what Apple paid for the rights to Severance, or when the show will launch.

More about Apple TV+

Apple‘s streaming service debuted last week with a handful of shows, but the company has many more in production. The iPhone maker has been aggressively working to bring more content to Apple TV+.

The biggest hit it has so far is reportedly See, a fantasy epic starring Jason Momoa. Coming soon are Truth Be Told, a murder mystery, and Little America about immigrants to the United States.
